The 2019 PopUp in the Rock project highlighted the many opportunities to live, work, and play in Southwest Little Rock. Southwest Little Rock is one of the most diverse areas of central Arkansas, with a wide variety of restaurants, businesses, and outdoor recreational activities. On October 5, at the intersection of Forbing Road and Geyer Springs, PopUp demonstrated the opportunities available in this area by hosting popup shops, a food truck pavilion, and Rebel Kettle Beer Garden, while encouraging neighborhood walkability with safer pedestrian crossings. Home to the proposed Southwest Trail, this year’s event also included bike rides in the area. In addition, this year PopUp featured a “Food Passport” that highlights the diversity and deliciousness of surrounding restaurants.
